UAE Country Manager - Flexible Hours
We’re looking for someone a bit special, and we’re hoping that’s you. You’ll be heading up our growing Dubai branch office, assisting clients with the complex process of global document attestation. It’s ok though if you haven’t got any experience in this field, the existing team know how to deliver what we already do.
Your role would be to oversee and develop the branch, continuing our impressive growth, and seeking out new opportunities for increased profits and improved efficiencies. Think of it as running your own business, but with regular support from an experienced management team in the UK, to help you through any challenges.
You will likely have close ties to the British expat community, and be able to ‘fly the flag’. We are proud of our British heritage, and you will know how to use this to your advantage in a region that values quality and integrity.
There is an element of being a ‘jack-of-all-trades’ to the position, as you’ll need to wear many hats. Your responsibilities would include:
We would expect you to be from a services background, so you will understand the importance of meeting client expectations. Our business thrives on word-of-mouth recommendations and looking after our existing corporate clients, so it is essential that we don’t let anyone down. You will know how to make that happen systematically.
Your skill set is likely to include:
You will have been living within the UAE for at least 2 years, as familiarity with the way business works across the GCC region is essential. You may have gained this experience either directly through employment or by virtue of moving to the region as a dependent partner. Your experience for the role may have been gained from your life before becoming an expat.
Reporting directly to our UK-based Managing Director, you will be a key member of our team, and treated more like a business partner than employee. You will help shape the future of our business, securing valuable repeat custom.
Whilst the role is a full-time position, you would be free to organise your working hours around other commitments such as childcare or family obligations. Flexibility to work from home is provided, although you would need to regularly attend the office to effectively manage the staff there.
Remuneration includes an excellent basic salary, along with profit-based bonuses, matched to experience and performance. 22 days holiday is provided, and we’ll even give you an additional day off for your birthday, because who wants to work on their birthday? You’ll also be provided with a return flight home once per year and comprehensive medical insurance.
We think this is an ideal job for anyone with an entrepreneurial flare, looking to take control of their own career. This is an opportunity to escape the mundane, and make a real difference in a growing business. If you think this role has been written for you, and are ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, we’d love to hear from you.
Send a covering letter along with your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org, telling us about who you are. What makes you tick. What your aspirations are. Why we’d be mad not to hire you. Go for broke here and really show us what you’re made of.
We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
